Frequently asked questions about oxygen facials

How does the Oxygen treatment work?
The oxygen treatment works by applying oxygen under hyperbaric pressure to infuse a special serum containing hyaluronic acid, botanicals, vitamins, amino peptides and antioxidants into the skin via a handheld device similar to an airbrush makeup applicator. The combination of oxygen under pressure and modified hyaluronic acid creates visible results you can instantly see and feel. Additionally, the pressurized oxygen treatment increases the absorption of the infusion which helps the skin retain hydration and the anti-aging effects. Once hydration is balanced your skin will look and feel healthier, more vital.

Why is oxygen used topically?
Oxygen is a natural bactericide (destroys anaerobic bacteria) and helps cool and calm the skin.  Intraceuticals uses oxygen under pressure to enhance the skin's absorption of the Intraceuticals infusion serums.

Which skin conditions can be treated with the Oxygen treatment?
The oxygen facial helps increases the skin’s moisture levels and targets dry, dehydrated and prematurely aging skin, sensitized skin, sun damage, skin laxity, fine lines, wrinkles,  uneven skin tone, post inflammatory pigmentation and problem prone skin conditions.

What are the main benefits of an oxygen infusion?

*Instant visible results with anti-aging effects
*Deeply hydrates, providing volume and definition
*Firms, tightens and improves overall tone and texture
*Helps stimulates collagen and elastin
*Dramatically reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in aging skin
*Comforts dry, sensitive or stressed skin
*Provides an immediate increase in skin radiance and glow

Are the results of the oxygen therapy lasting?
While the results of the oxygen are immediately visible after just one treatment, the skin continues to improve with repeated infusion. A series of six treatments is recommended to build a good foundation after which maintenance treatments will be recommended only every four to six weeks.  It is also essential to use the Treatment Support Products to prolong the results of the infusions and continue to hydrate and reinforce the Intraceuticals Infusion in between treatments.  How long the results will last depends on the condition of the skin prior to the treatment, particularly its level of hydration.  Typically, a single treatment may last from 3-7 days and a series of treatments, following the recommended maintenance and care, may last for months.

Can the oxygen infusion treatment be used with other anti-aging treatments?
Intraceuticals oxygen treatments partner beautifully with microdermabrasion. The exfoliating treatment  removes the top layer of skin allowing serums to penetrate further. The infusion provide instant results for every skin type.
