Advanced Flourescent Therapy (intense pulsed light)
About the procedure
AFT, also known Advanced Fluorescent Therapy, is the next generation of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). This treatment helps correct the effects of sun damage, diminish age spots, and correct overall skin tone, texture, discoloration, and even active acne. It is especially effective in treating spider veins and other visible blood vessels. This treatment can be performed on any part of the body!
AFT uses low energy light pulses that targets pigment just below the skin. The pigment can be in blood vessels, dark spots, or in other places. The energy helps break up the pigment, and over time it becomes absorbed by the body.

What is the different between advanced fluorescent therapy and intense pulsed light?
Advanced flourescent therapy (AFT) is a more advanced version of intense pulsed light (IPL). The main difference is that AFT is able to utilize more of the light spectrum than traditional IPL, which means that a lower amount of energy can be used. This results in lower downtime and less pain during the procedure, with more effective results!
What can advanced flourescent therapy treat?
Advanced fluorescent therapy is especially useful for pigmented age spots and vascular lesions. Spider veins and telangectasias are excellent targets for this treatment.
How often can advanced fluorescent therapy be performed?
Advanced fluorescent therapy can be performed around every 4 weeks. Often, multiple treatments are necessary to achieve the desired results.
